A FAMILY have paid tribute to a young Pendle man who has died suddenly.
Paul McGrath, 30, was described by his sister as a ‘fun, loving and caring man’ who loved his family.
Former Park High student Paul, died suddenly at his home, on Friday.
An inquest has been opened into his death at Blackburn Registars office where a cause of death is hoped to be established.
Paul was brought up in Colne and later moved to Mill Hill in Blackburn where he lived until his death.
His sister Donna Ayres paid tribute to Paul saying how the family have been devastated by his death.
She said: “Paul was a fun, bubbly, loving caring and clever man. He loved everything to do with computers, he was a computer whiz, he spent hours on them and playing on computer games.
“He was such a loving brother and will be sadly missed, he was just a lovely lad.
“I want to thank my nan who brought him up and loved and cared for him and want to thank Paul for being so fantastic with me and my daughter.
“Paul will never be forgotten, he had so much love to give, he is at peace now.”
His nan Grace, who cared for Paul as he was growing up, said: !I loved that child to bits, he was like my own son. I have been left totally destroyed by his death. I just can’t believe he has gone.”
Paul leaves behind his sister Donna 28, mum Grace, step daughters Derry, eight, and Keavey, 10, uncle Jason and aunts Tracey and Alison.
The funeral is to take place tomorrow (wed) at the Colne Cemetery Chapel at 10.45am. Flowers are welcome but donations if desired can be given for Cancer Research UK through Denis Hartley and Son Funeral Service on 01282 870800.
