A supermarket was evacuated yesterday morning, Friday, after a vehicle caught fire in the underground car park.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the Sainsbury's store in Windy Bank, Colne, shortly before 10am.
A Sainsbury's spokesperson said the store was "temporarily closed" for a period on Friday morning.
They said: "Our Colne store was temporarily closed for a brief time this morning so the fire service could attend to the incident.
"We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused."
Four fire engines attended the scene from across the region and dealt with the incident for around two hours.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Four fire engines from Nelson, Barnoldswick, Burnley, and Hyndburn fire stations attended an incident on Windy Bank, Colne.
"The fire involved a vehicle in an underground car park.
"Firefighters used one hose reel and two breathing apparatus to bring the fire under control and were detained for two hours."
