A quantity of suspected drugs were seized from a car in Accrington today (April 17).
Police stopped a Vauxhall Astra on Lonsdale Street this afternoon after members of the public said it was being used to supply controlled drugs.
A quantity of suspected cannabis was seized.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis. The vehicle was seized.
A police spokesperson said: “As a result of information provided by members of the public regarding a Vauxhall Astra being used to supply controlled drugs, this afternoon we have stopped and searched the vehicle on Lonsdale Street.
“A quantity of suspected cannabis was seized. The driver was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and the vehicle was seized.”
