Two fire engines were called after a large number of pallets caught fire in a business yard in Burney.
Crews were sent shortly after 2pm on Friday (March 29) to the incident in Hargher Street.
Firefighters spent two hours bringing the fire under control, using one hose reel.
The fire service said the pallets contained hand sanitising gel.
A fire service spokesperson said: “Two fire engines from Burnley attended an incident on Hargher Street.
“The fire involved a large quantity of pallets in the yard of a commercial property.
“Firefighters used one hose reel, one jet, and a thermal imaging camera to bring the fire under control, and were in attendance for just under two hours.”
The fire service confirmed the incident will be investigated.
