On the left you can see the entrance to the much-missed Thwaites Arcade which would be demolished in 1971.
Does anyone remember the snack bar on the right which was probably located in one of the buildings now known as The Pavilions?
In the distance you can see the demolition work underway to create the new market and shopping area.
