Turton reservoir, 1966
We love this photo from 1966 which shows cars heading to Turton reservoir.
On the left there is a very determined looking group sat on the bench who are clearly watching everything that is going on like a hawk.
Motorists had taken advantage of the fact that you could park on the road which crossed the reservoir to get the best view.
