Images show the ferociousness of a car fire as crews battled to extinguish the flames.
Firefighters were called to Bala Close in Blackburn just after 9pm on Sunday to a car fire.
Two fire engines from Blackburn station attended and found a vehicle well alight.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
Images from the scene show just how big the flames were.
The car was parked next to a garage but luckily the fire didn't spread.
Crews were in attendance for around 40 minutes.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "At 9.08pm on August 20, two fire engines from Blackburn attended a vehicle fire on Bala Close, Blackburn.
"Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
"Crews were in attendance for 40 minutes."
