Fire crews spent more than three hours tackling a large vehicle fire on a motorway this morning (March 2).
Three fire engines from Hyndburn, Burnley and Padiham as well as a water boswer from Leyland were called to an incident on the M65 eastbound between junctions 9 and 8 at 12.48am.
When they arrived, one large vehicle was on fire and a large variety of equipment was used to put it out.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "At 12.48am on March 2, three fire engines from Hyndburn, Burnley and Padiham along with a water bowser from Leyland attended an incident on the M65 Eastbound.
"One large vehicle was well alight when crew arrived.
"Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels, a light portable pump, small tools and dammit mats to extinguish the fire.
"Crews were in attendance for just over three hours."
