House prices in West Lancashire have soared by an average of over £10,000 in the month of December, according to figures from the Land Registry.

The price rise in West Lancashireis the third highest percentage increase of any in the entirety of the UK, with only Ceredigion, and Fylde increasing more over the month.

The latest data from the government department reveals that in December 2022 average house prices in West Lancashire reached £243,710.

This was up from £233,356 in November, representing a 4.4 per cent increase. In the last 12 months it has risen by 23.8 per cent.

In cash terms, the average house price in December was £26,214 higher than a year earlier with house price growth accelerating to 9.8 per cent in December 2022. Prices were down by -0.4 per cent month on month.
