Blackburn sporting legend, Carl Fogarty, is to take part in a probing Q&A which will give fans a deeper insight into his life and career.

An Evening with Carl Fogarty will take place later this month and is organised by the Ducati Manchester Group, of which Carl is a brand ambassador.

Event organiser and long-term friend of Carl’s, Tony Hudson, said they will be trying to “dig deep” with their questions.

He said: “We’ll be doing an auction raffle, quizzing carl on stage and trying to dig as deep as we can.

“Carl said the audience can ask him anything and he will try to answer as best as he can.

“We will be asking about how he is coping since becoming a Grandad, how he dealt and suffered through Covid, his time in the I’m a Celebrity Jungle, and of course, his racing highlights.”

There will also be a raffle and auction to raise money for the NSPCC, which is a charity "close to Carl's heart".

Carl Fogarty is one of the most successful World Superbike racers of all time; he is known for his gutsy, aggressive style and a fierce determination to win which netted him 59 victories and four World Superbike Championships.

Not just king of the superbikes, Carl also won ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here’ in 2014 and was crowned ‘King of the Jungle’.

Tony has known Carl for several years and describes his as a “proud Lancashire-born man” .

He said: “Every single time he is proud to talk about his Lancashire upbringing. He will always boast from pillar to post that he is just a normal working class lad from Blackburn that can ride a motorbike – and that’s how he looks at himself.

“He doesn’t see himself as a high-profile celeb. He’s the most patriotic person I’ve ever met.”

Tony hopes ticket-holders will have a great night filled with plenty of laughs.

He said: “It’s going to be a great night and great value for money. We hope guests will go home after having a real belly laugh.”

The event will take place at Worcester Racecourse, Worcestershire, on 11 March.
