Fire crews called to extinguish car fire on hard shoulder of M65.
Three fire engines from Nelson and Burnley were called at around 10.45 this morning (February 26) to the blaze between junctions 12 and 13.
The car was on fire on the hard shoulder of the M65 eastbound close to Nelson and Brierfield.
Crews used breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the blaze.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Three fire engines from Nelson and Burnley attended a car fire on the hard shoulder of the M65 eastbound, between junctions 12 and 13.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.”
