Blackburn presenter, AJ Odudu, has shared an injury update with her fans and became emotional about the progress she has made in her recovery.
In the Instagram video, AJ filmed herself in a virtual physiotherapy session in Vietnam, where she is filming a mystery show with Channel 4.
In the video, she can be seen gradually putting weight on her ankle, later stating that she is now out of her medical moon boot.
The video caption read: "I'm so excited because I'm down to an ankle brace! The progress!
"This ankle, it's coming back to me!"
AJ injured her ankle in December 2021, forcing her to pull out of the Strictly Come Dancing final.
She later announced that she was unable to take part in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour, which kicked of in January, as a result of the injury.
In her Instagram story, AJ said: "Obviously, it's not fixed entirely, but I can start to feel the progress, so I'm feeling really happy about it that.
"Like literally, the ability to stand for five seconds on one foot in a trainer is amazing as I've not been able to do that in so long."
She became “emotional” in a later story as she reflected on her progress.
AJ said: “I'm glad I've got sunglasses on as I'm actually getting quite emotional. But wow.
"Who knew that could be so exciting. But it is.
"There's the update. I'm in a brace...moon boot be gone!"
AJ’s injury hasn’t put her out of action as she flew out to Vietnam last weekend to film another TV show.
She revealed that the production will be for Channel 4 and HBO Max - but the organisations are yet to reveal any further details about the mystery show.
In an Instagram post, she wrote: “When one door closes, an aeroplane door opens!
“I'm off to Vietnam to film a show coming soon to @channel4 & @hbomax.
... and I'm traveling light”.
It’s not AJ’s first stint on television as she also filmed a channel W show alongside Emma Willis last year, called Emma and AJ Get to Work.
