A WOMAN who drove up from the West Midlands to visit to her dad on his eightieth birthday ended up being arrested.
Blackburn magistrates heard when police arrived at her father's house in Padiham Lisa McLean was drunk and being restrained by her brother-in-law and son-in-law.
McLean, 53, of Mount Close, Dudley, West Midlands, admitted a breach of the peace. She was bound over in £100 to keep the peace for 12 months.
Andy Robinson, prosecuting, said the car McLean had driven had been seized by the police because it wasn't insured.
He said McLean told police she wasn't going anywhere and wanted to see her dad.
Marnat Ali, defending, said his client had been assaulted by a family member which was why she was so upset when the police arrived.
