A MOTORIST who was forced off the road by an oncoming vehicle collided with two parked cars.
Blackburn magistrates heard Adam Stephen Clough remained at the scene and failed a breathalyser.
Clough, 37, of Bridge Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol on Hermitage Street. He was fined £120 with £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge. He was banned from driving for three years after the magistrates heard he had a conviction for drink driving in 2016.
Greg Earnshaw, defending, said Clough was driving down Rishton towards the Dunkenhalgh when a car coming up the hill crossed onto his side of the road.
“As a result of the other person’s bad driving he collided with a parked car and shunted it into another,” said Mr Earnshaw.
“The other driver didn’t stop.”
