IT was a case of out with the old and in with the new at Whalley Post Office back in 1990.
The old post box was replaced by a new one which caused quite a commotion in the village with spectators gathering to watch the proceedings.
Having prised the old post box out of the ground, the workmen flagged down a passing bulldozer to help.
The JCB was used to lift the old post box out of the way and then to lift the new post box into place.
