FIREFIGHTERS were called to a vehicle fire in Blackburn last night.
Blackburn Fire Station crew attended the scene on Bromley Street at 8.15pm.
A Lancashire Fire Service spokesman said: "It was a vehicle fire on the road and two hose reels were used to extinguish the blaze.
"There were no reports of any injuries and the crew was there until 9pm.
"The police were not in attendance for the incident."
An eyewitness who did not wish to be named said: "There were a few rumours that it started as arson but we don't think it was that now.
"The fire service were there pretty quickly and managed to put it out."
Footage filmed from the scene shows the firefighters battling the flames which could have spread to nearby houses.
Residents poured out into the street to see the BMW car on car.
Another eyewitness said: "We heard the fire brigade pulling up and all you could see was the smoke going past our window and down the street.
"I am just glad nobody was hurt.
"I thought about how it happened but do not know."
