THREE people have been arrested in connection with a vandalism spree in which four churches were targeted.
A 16-year-old girl from Rishton and two 18-year-old men, one from Rishton and one from Accrington, were arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated criminal damage.
They have been bailed by police pending further inquiries.
Four churches were targeted with racist and anti-religious graffiti. They were St Peter and St Paul Church in Blackburn Road, St Charles' RC Church in St Charles Road, Rishton Methodist Church in Albert Street and Rishton Baptist Church in Commercial Street.
The vandalism was discovered on Tuesday morning last week. Also vandalised was the town's library.
