TWO fire engines were called out this afternoon after a tractor was reported on fire in field in Fence.
The crews from Nelson were turned out a 5.31pm to the farmland on Noggarth Road in the village.
The blaze was put of with two foam jets.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Two fire engines and crews from Nelson turned out to a report of a tractor on fire in a field.
"Firefighters used two hosereels with firefighting foam injected into the water jets to extinguish the fire.
"There were no casualties."
