MASKED men burst into a house in Blackburn and threatened a couple with weapons while their three children were inside, police said.
The attempted robbery happened at a house in Sumner Street at 12.45am on Sunday, officers said.

Detectives said up to four men wearing balaclavas went in to the house armed with weapons and demanded cash from the occupants.
They left the house empty-handed and police said nobody was injured during the raid.
No arrests have been made.
Detective Sergeant Ian Proctor said: "This was a terrifying ordeal for the victims who although left shaken were fortunately not injured.
"I would urge anyone who knows anything to contact us on 101, quoting crime number ED1606619."
