A BURNLEY drug dealer who stashed heroin and drug-cutting agents between the tyre and rim of his bike wheel has been warned that he will face jail if he is caught offending again.

Daniel Conway was spared jail after Judge Beverley Lunt said that there had been a reduction in his offending since he was last arrested.

Police raided Conway’s house in Leyland Road, Burnley, on October 7 last year.

They found 3.61g of heroin along with paracetamol and codeine cutting agents, stashed between the tyre and the rim of his bike wheel.

Officers also found a large quantity of cash – £531 in total – and arrested Conway, 36, on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Burnley Crown Court heard Conway had been bulk buying and supplying the drugs as he had a long standing addiction to heroin.

He pleaded guilty to the charge and appeared to face sentence on Tuesday.

Judge Beverley Lunt, sentencing, said: “I am going to suspend your sentence on the basis there has been a lessening of your offending in terms of the time frame between offences.

“But the next time I see you in the next two years I’m going to activate it. Do you understand?”

The judge ordered Conway to carry out a 25-day rehabilitation activity and placed him on a drugs rehabilitation requirement for six months.

She said: “That means there are going to be reviews.

“You and I are going to be seeing each other at least six times.

“The first time I read a report about you that is disappointing I will send you to prison.”
