DETECTIVES were yesterday continuing to investigate the unexplained death of a man found dead in an Accrington alleyway on Christmas Eve.
A passer-by found the body near Frederick Street, near Hyndburn Road, and the man was confirmed dead at the scene.

He has been named as Naheem Ashraf, of Frederick Street.
Yesterday, the police were still awaiting the results of a post mortem expected to be conducted later this week.
Det Sgt Simon Upton, of Blackburn CID, said: “Anyone with information about the incident, in particular between the hours of 11pm Wednesday night and Thursday morning, is asked to call 101, quoting log reference 0464 of December 24.”
