MOTORISTS got in a bit of a flap when a swan landed on one of East Lancashire’s busiest roads.
Two police patrols were called to Centenary Way, Burnley, to rescue the long-necked bird that landed in the carriageway.

They had to stop the Manchester Road bound traffic.
It’s unlikely the swan will have to face the beak because no fowl play was suspected!
