NEW political group For Darwen has named more candidates for the May elections.
Trevor Maxfield, 42, of Clifton Street, is standing in Earcroft ward. He owns Tower Promotions and has run the company for 17 years. He is married with daughters aged 18 and 22.
Phil Jones, 38, of Primrose Terrace, stands in Marsh House ward. Born and raised in Darwen, he owns the Ink Drop company based in the town.
Anthony Meleady, 46, of Duckworth Street, is landlord of The Engineers Arms. He supports Darwen FC, follows Darwen Cricket Club and will stand in Sudell ward.
The chairman of For Darwen, businessman Tony Melia, 46, runs Genesis Plumbling and Electrical and is standing in Sunnyhurst ward.
