A CAR rental worker attacked a colleague, then assaulted the victim and two witnesses and later threatened the three men in front of a barrister in a court waiting room.
Burnley Crown Court heard how father-to-be Razwan Khan, 32, had set upon Abdul Rehman in July 2013, when the pair were working at Enterprise Car Rental and Khan had been sacked.
He was on bail awaiting sentence when he went back to the premises and punched Mr Rehman, Iqbal Patel and Adam McGuinness.
Khan was then due to face trial over the second outburst at the town's crown court in February, when he told the three men: "This isn't the end of it. I won't let go."
A passing lawyer saw the defendant push past the trio in an aggressive manner.
Khan, of Hilldrop Road, Nelson, is now starting an eight month jail term. He had admitted three allegations of common assault and taking revenge and three of intimidation.
Martine Snowdon, prosecuting, said last October Khan was due to be sentenced for battery against Mr Rehman, after he hit him at work.
He had been on bail and had been banned from the premises when, in September, he went to the rental firm, stuck Mr Patel in the jaw and said: "You have gone to the police. You are going to court."
Mr Patel rang the police and Mr McGuinness told the defendant to leave. Khan then approached Mr McGuinness as he sat at his desk and punched him in the jaw. Mr Rehman entered, the defendant asked him if he was going to court, he said he was and the defendant hit him. He told Mr Rehman:" That's for giving a statement. I'm not going to leave this. I'm going to get you."
Joe Boyd, defending Khan, said :" Losing his job causes these flashpoints."
Mr Boyd described the defendant's behaviour as " hot headedness" and " simply bravado." He added Khan had suffered psychological problems because of an accident in Pakistan.
Recorder John Bromley- Davenport told Khan: "It's inevitable that I impose upon you an immediate custodial sentence."
