FEARS are growing for a vulnerable teenager who has been missing for a week.
Danielle Catton, 19, who has learning difficulties, hasn't been seen by her foster parents at their home in Burnley Road, Padiham, since 1pm last Friday.
She last made contact with her foster parents on Sunday afternoon.
Police are worried for her welfare and are urging anybody who has seen Danielle or knows of her current whereabouts to contact them.
Sgt Ifte Ali, of Burnley Police, said: “We’re very concerned about her and would just like her to contact her foster parents, or the police, if she doesn’t want to contact them.
“We’re very concerned because the foster parents haven’t had any contact and it’s been a number of days now.
“The public response from the appeal has been very good, however it is very early days and we are crossing off lines of enquiry as we are going along.
“We’ve had some information that she was seen travelling on a bus that goes between Burnley and Accrington, but this has not yet been confirmed.
“We’re having CCTV downloaded by the bus companies to confirm or negate this.
“It would also give us the direction of travel and her last known location.”
Sgt Mick Smith, from Burnley CID, said: "Although streetwise, Danielle is vulnerable as she has learning difficulties. It is unusual for her to be missing for this length of time."
Padiham councillor and former mayor Jean Cunningham said: “It’s very worrying, especially because Danielle has learning difficulties. It is in the hands of the police to find her, but I would appeal for her to get in touch with her foster family.”
Danielle is described as being around 5ft 2ins tall, of slim build with shoulder length dark brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black leather jacket and black trainers.
