PENDLE MP Andrew Stephenson has welcomed the news that the Post Office is to continue to offer DVLA services over the counter.
Under a new seven-year agreement with the Department of Transport, the Post Office will continue to offer DVLA services from spring 2013, including driving licence photocard renewal, vehicle licence issue, statutory off-road notices (SORN) and many others.
Mr Stephenson said: “The Post Office is a vital part of communities in Pendle and has long provided a platform for essential and everyday Government services.
“I am dedicated to ensuring local residents can easily access services they need, and I think this is another step in reaching that goal.”
Martin Moran, commercial director at the Post Office, said: “We are delighted to have the support of Andrew Stephenson.”
