TERMINALLY-ill youngsters from across the North West have celebrated Christmas in style with a party at Downing Street.
The children from hospices in the North West, along with their parents and carers, were invited to London thanks to an East Lancashire businessman’s links with the Conservative Party.
Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha asked Kevin Horkin, the deputy mayor of the Ribble Valley and owner of several retail stores in Clitheroe and Accrington, if he would help to organise for children to make the trip to Number 10.
Mr Horkin, said: “I was delighted to help and the children, their families and their carers had a marvellous time at Number 10. It was a super party and a truly unforgettable experience for all the children.”
