X FACTOR finalist Jonjo Kerr delighted students with a surprise show at Unity College, Burnley.
JonJo, 27, from Chorley, appeared at Burnley’s Christmas lights switch-on last month and was said to have been ‘overwhelmed’ by the reception he got from the public.
Two students from Unity College approached him at the event and told him that their school held ‘Musical Fridays’ where students perform on the balcony at lunch time.
They told him that over the next few weeks, their weekly sessions would be dedicated to raising money for children’s charity, the NSPCC.
JonJo decided to support the school and the charity by making a surprise appearance.
He performed a few songs on the balcony and talked to students about his experiences in the armed forces.
Headteacher Sally Cryer said: “I was thrilled with this event.
“Only myself and a few key members of staff were aware of it and I’m so delighted that the innovative idea of Musical Fridays is being recognised by a celebrity.”
